I am a director of the firm, practising in all aspects of commercial dispute resolution, insolvency and commercial law.
My experience spans matters relating to company law, competition and consumer law, contract, intellectual property, professional negligence, insurance law, land law, insolvency and defamation. As well as providing advice and representation in the traditional role of solicitor I have substantial experience acting in the role of advocate in contested proceedings and representing clients in mediation and arbitration.
I act for a wide variety of corporate and private clients for whom I deliver a combination of forensic and strategic skills offered by an advocate to the daily management of matters. My focus is to achieve the best possible legal outcome for my clients in a commercially rational framework.
Between 2000 and 2009, I practised as a barrister in Western Australia and New South Wales, acting in large scale litigation such as the Bell Litigation and later in the Lehmann Australia case in the Federal Court in Sydney. Since 2009, I have resided in Newcastle, forming strong links with the Newcastle business industry through my legal practice and on a community level. Between 2010 and 2014 I was a partner and head of commercial dispute resolution at the Newcastle office of a National mid-tier firm. I am a strong supporter of junior rugby union in the Hunter Valley and currently occupy a seat on the executive of the Hunter Junior Rugby Union.
